DirectionS© is a company owned an operated by Kate Werling. Ms Werling has worked in Head Start, Early Head Start and Migrant Head Start in a variety of roles for over 20 years. Currently she is president of DirectionS, a consulting and fair trade import business.

She consults for Teaching Strategies on the Creative Curriculum, with the Head Start Bureau on Proactive Assessments of program systems, the Migrant/Seasonal QIC/DSQIC as a mentor/coach specialist, as well as many Head Start programs and Child Care programs throughout the United States.

Ms. Werling completed her master’s degree in early childhood special education at the University of South Florida and her bachelor’s degree in special education at Slippery Rock University. She is a certified trainer in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. View Ms. Werling's credentials.

Her logo is a reflection of the influences in her life. The medicine wheel is a symbol of her Shawnee heritage, 7 feathers that make the outer circle represent her 7 brothers & sisters and the inner circle represents her parents and those before them. She is the missing feather journeying to shape the world.
